Joseph Joaquin


Mr. Joaquin is a decorated military veteran, serving as a U.S. Marine in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Mr. Joaquin attended the University of California in Los Angles, graduating in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. On the Nation he has been influential in the establishment of the Tohono O'odham Cultural Affairs Office, where he now works as a Cultural Resource Specialist. Mr. Joaquin provides Cultural awareness/talking circles, overall Education on history and Cultural sensitivity in promoting and protecting the Tohono O'odham Nation Language & Cultural traditions.
